My Ocean Line is a body of works of exploring the local Sydney landscape at Cockatoo Island during 2019. The work investigates the integrating Eastern and Western art traditions to create new language in painting through method of painting, drawing and mono-printing. Drawing on the expressive gesture and multi-perspective of Chinese landscape and abstract colour of Abstract expressionism, the work communicates my emotion responding to this historical post-industrial site as an isolated and abandoned place.
